Join expert birder Dan Burgoyne for a sunset bird walk through Sandy Hook’s maritime forest and bayside salt marshes. The group will explore habitats near Guardian Park before heading to Spermaceti Cove to look for fall migrants and waterbirds such as Northern Flickers, Ospreys, Golden-crowned Kinglets, Royal Terns, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, and Black-bellied Plovers.

Open to birders of all experience levels. The walk covers approximately 1.2 miles, with both paved and sandy terrain.

Bring: Binoculars, water, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, and comfortable walking shoes.
