Youth Birding Club | September Meeting
Calling all youth aged 10 to 14! Join the Fall 2025 Youth Birding Club, where once a month on Saturday, you’ll be able to explore the countless diverse avian species in Jersey City with JerseyCityBirds, FBC.JC, and Rutgers 4-H! Binoculars, notebooks, and snacks provided!
Hike to Caven Point Beach
Join Liberty State Park on a leisurely hike to Caven Point while exploring the unique natural features of Caven Point Beach and the Upper New York Bay!
Walk for Hawks
The “Walk for Hawks” challenge is commencing, with all funds raised going toward supporting wild birds injured during fall migration! Register, track your personal migration over the course of October 4 to 12, and win a prize!
Hudson County RCE Fall Garden Fest
Come for a day of celebrations as Hudson County RCE celebrates fall’s arrival! Enjoy face painting, crafts and activities, bake sales, and even a gardening contest—open to both adults and youth!

Come to Liberty State Park to get up and close with the monarch butterfly! Learn about their life cycle and migration, and then make your own butterfly craft to take home!
Montclair Chimney Swift Roost | Hike with MBC
Witness the spectacle of Chimney Swifts filling the sky, feeding on flying insects, and entering Buzz Aldrin Middle School’s chimney to roost until the next morning!
September Foraging Hike at Wanaque Reservoir Trails
Come along Sierra Club’s September foraging hike as you learn about goldenrod and autumn olive! You’ll leave knowing how to both identify and use the two plants in their respective ways.
