Join the Montclair Bird Club to explore one of New Jersey's premiere birding sites! Sandy Hook's coastal forest patches attract great numbers of migrants at first light as they cross New York Bay. Expect a search for sparrows, late warblers, thrushes, shorebirds, raptors, and maybe something unexpected — last year's trip reported 76 species, including 13 warbler species, an American golden plover, and a white-rumped sandpiper.
